  • NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber): This oil seal is made from NBR, known for its excellent mechanical properties, high abrasion resistance, and low gas permeability. NBR provides high resistance to mineral oil-based oils and greases, making it a preferred material for many industrial sealing applications.

  • Material Composition: NBR is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Our standard NBR materials have an average acrylonitrile content of around 30%, balancing cold flexibility and oil resistance.
  • Resistance: NBR has good resistance to mineral oil-based oils and greases, aliphatic hydrocarbons, vegetable and animal oils and fats, hydraulic oils H, H-L, H-LP, hydraulic fluids HFA, HFB, HFC, silicone oils, and silicone greases, and water up to 80°C.
  • Non-Resistance: NBR is not resistant to fuels with high aromatic content, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, non-polar solvents, hydraulic fluid HFD, glycol-based brake fluids, ozone, weathering, ageing, and UV exposure.
  • Temperature Range: Standard NBR types operate effectively between -30°C to +100°C, with short-term tolerance up to +120°C. Special grades can operate down to -50°C.
